Sylvia K Wright

Sylvia Kangas Wright, age 95, from New Ipswich, NH, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She was born in New Ipswich on May 14, 1928, daughter to the late Matti and Adalfina (Berjaistid) Kangas. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother to her three beloved boys, a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended Appleton Academy and received her GED. Her nurturing spirit, sense of humor, and infectious laugh brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Sylvia was a beacon of kindness and generosity.

Though she may be gone, she will forever remain in the hearts of those who were touched by her love and grace. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she touched, and her spirit will continue to shine bright in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Homer Wright and her eldest son Allan L. Wright. 

Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 11:00AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 200 Ashby Road, New Ipswich, NH 03071.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be may in Sylvia's name to Jaffrey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 20 Plantation Drive, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
