Thea Mary Olausen

Thea M. Olausen, 85, a resident of Rindge, NH and formerly of New Ipswich, NH, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, in the comfort of home surrounded by her loving family.

Thea was born in Fitchburg, MA on October 19, 1936, a daughter of the late Lionel J. and Doris M. (Leblanc) Lizotte. She attended Appleton Academy in New Ipswich.

Thea had a love for knitting, painting, sewing, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with her family.

In addition to both parents, she was predeceased by her husband Hans Olausen in 2006, and by her brother Ronald L. Lizotte who passed in July 2022.

Thea will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Brenda Gibson and her husband Fran, Kelley Hannu and her husband Glen, her sons; Mark Damon and his wife Paula, and Raymond Thiel and his wife Nancy; her close friends Barbara Lyle and Carol Cloutier, as well as twenty-three grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a calling hour on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at Hope Fellowship Church, 16 Prescott Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452. Pastor Jordan Moody and Colin Kinnunen will together officiate Thea’s funeral service in the chapel immediately following visitation at 5:00 PM.
