Thomas Paul Schimp, 70, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022, in the comfort of his home.
Thomas was born in San Jose, CA on January 15, 1952, a son to the late Victor and Dorothy (Gerwe) Schimp.
Thomas resided in San Jose before moving to Michigan where he graduated from Coloma High School and Lake Michigan College. After relocating to the Monadnock Region, he became a dedicated parishioner at Saint Stanislaus Parish in Winchester NH. He enjoyed oil painting, especially painting landscapes. Traveling was also another one of Thomas’s joys.
Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Victoria M. Schimp in 2018.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Christine Bryan of New Ipswich, NH, and Melissa Beregsasy of Southwest Michigan, his siblings, Don Schimp of Florida, Fred Schimp of New Hampshire, Mark Schimp of Texas, Paul Schimp of Iowa, Victor Schimp of Delaware, and Jane Whitsett of Alaska, as well as nine grandchildren with one on the way, six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Cournoyer Funeral Home, 33 River Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Saint Stanislaus Parish in Winchester, NH, at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 5, 2022.
