Virginia Baldwin

VIRGINIA Ginny BALDWIN , 83, of North Street, Rindge died Sunday November 18, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Healthcare Center in Jaffrey following a period of failing health.She was born June 18, 1924 in North Abington, MA daughter of the late Ralph and Bessie (Griswold) Arnold.

She grew up in Boston and had attended Boston schools.

She moved to Jaffrey in her mid-twenties. and had remained a Jaffrey resident until moving to Rindge in 1983. She was a retired employee of Millipore Corp in Jaffrey and had formerly worked as a lunch lady at the Jaffrey Grade School for many years.Ginny was an active auxiliary member of both the John Humiston American Legion Post #11 in Jaffrey as well as the Jaffrey Memorial Post #5613 VFW.She enjoyed crocheting, playing cribbage and bingo but had the most fun playing jokes on her grandsons.

Ginny was proud of the fact that she completed her GED at the age of 56.

She was married to Charles A. Baldwin who died April 3,1987.

Survivors include her daughter Karen A. Baldwin of Rindge; two grandsons Edmond C. Therriault and Nathaniel D. Baldwin both of Rindge; a step-daughter Janet M. Minckler of Winchendon, MA; a step-son Clifford C. Baldwin of Jaffrey; one sister Catherine White of Winston Salem, NC ; nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jaffrey Rindge Memorial Ambulance Fund, Post Office Box 107, Jaffrey NH 03452.

Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Jaffrey.

Friends and family are invited to call from 12:00 Noon until the time of the funeral on Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00PM in the Cournoyer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey.
