Jaffrey, New HampshireWalter "Reddy" Herbert Foster III, PE, ME, MfgE, President and Chief Executive officer of Foster Power Generation. Ltd. an engineering consulting firm specializing in gas and steam turbines which he founded in 1995. Reddy started his new journey after a brief illness on October 23, 2007, at his beloved Thorndike Pond Road home.He was born on April 15, 1945, in Old Town, Maine, son of Walter Herbert Foster Jr. and Hazel (Gertrude) Campbell Foster. Reddy pursued his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maine in Orono and received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, at Worcester Polytechnic in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. He was the recipient of the University of Maine School of Engineering Francis Crowe Award in 2005.He was the heart and soul of Foster Power Generation, Ltd. with a primary focus on Industrial and Power Generation including Steam and Gas Turbine systems, economic and mechanical development, design and manufacturing. The company will continue on under the leadership of his son Walter Herbert Foster, IV, Esq. Reddy has walked in the limelight of the inception of turbo-machinery and power plants; serving on a global basis from Israel Electric, PT BADAK, Indonesia as well as serving his local community and beloved New England States.Reddy is loved, cherished and adored by all, especially by his son and fiancé, Walter H. Foster, IV and Svetlana Voytenkova; his beloved ChristiAne Mason, very special friends Danny Bryan and Angel Hutchison; sister Katherine Foster Dall; brothers Banton T. Foster, Sr., Timothy Foster and Stephen Foster; grandson William Foster; and "right-hand woman," niece, Sarah E. Foster; nieces Allison, Joanna, Meghann and nephew Banton Foster Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at the United Church of Jaffrey, 54 Main Street in Jaffrey, on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:00a.m.
