Wilfrid A. Villarrubia, 80, died on November 2, 2016 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH.
Will was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and former resident of Metairie and Amite, Louisiana; most recently a resident of Richmond, NH for the past eleven years. Will is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Eleonore; his three sons, Steven of Shreveport, LA, Charles and his wife Marianne of Austin, TX and Brother Andre Marie, M.I.C.M. (aka Louis) of Richmond, NH; his four grandchildren, Andrew of Dallas, TX, Zachary and Michelle of Jackson, MS and Ani of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his two loving younger sisters, Ninette Lafranca of Metairie, LA and Jeannette Villarrubia of Baton Rouge, LA and many nieces and nephews.
Will graduated from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans in 1954. He went on to earn a degree in Architecture from Tulane University in New Orleans, class of 1959. A longtime employee of Entergy Corporation of Louisiana, he retired in 1995. He and his boys were avid fishermen in the warm waters of South Louisiana. A good and loving husband, father and grandfather, he loved his Catholic Faith and his family above all else.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Saint Joseph Hall at Saint Benedict Center, 95 Fay Martin Road, Richmond, NH.
A Requiem High Mass will follow on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at Saint Benedict Center. Burial will be in the Saint Benedict Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Saint Benedict Center are preferred.
