William Demetrius Gagnon, 65, of Biddeford, Maine died peacefully on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 following a period of declining health due to cancer.
Bill was born in Jaffrey, New Hampshire on November 6, 1955 to the late Dorothy A. Gagnon.
He grew up in Jaffrey and was a member of the Conant High School class of 1973. Before graduation, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army’s Delayed Entry Program and proudly served his country in Germany from 1973-1976. This time overseas sparked his interest in travel. To date, he has visited or worked in twenty-four countries, thirty-six U.S. States, and five Canadian Provinces. Bill’s hobbies included wood working of any sort as well as studying and discussing Arabian Horse bloodstock and pedigrees.
For the past twelve years, Bill was employed at HATCH, a Global Engineering/Construction Management firm headquartered in Toronto.
Bill is survived by his fiancé, Janice E. Caminiti, of Biddeford, ME, daughters Sydnee J. Gagnon of Somersworth, NH, and Hannah P. Gagnon of Portsmouth, NH and many close relatives and friends both locally and world-wide.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or Memorial Service.
