Yvonne M. Tabor

Yvonne M. Tabor, 92, of Peterborough Street, Jaffrey died unexpectedly on Friday, August 19, 2011 at her residence. She was born July 25, 1919 in Milford, NH daughter of the late George M. and Alberta (Guay) Michaud. She had attended Jaffrey schools and has been a resident of this community for the past ninety years. Yvonne was a devout Catholic, attending Mass seven days a week until the time of her death. She was a very active member of St. Patrick Parish, where she was a lector at daily Mass and a member of the former St. Anne Society of the Parish. Yvonne was very dedicated to her family and her faith. She was a very giving and generous woman, frequently visiting friends and acquaintances at local nursing homes. Yvonne loved playing cards and board games, particularly Scrabble. She also loved a good party and dancing. After raising her children she worked in the School Lunch Program at the Jaffrey Grade School for several years and later at the Woodbound Inn, in Rindge. Her husband of forty three years Walter J. Tabor died on April 6, 1983. She is survived by two daughters Yvonne Murray and her husband Roger of Dublin, Theresa Weigel and her husband John of Phoenix, Maryland; three sons, Rev. John Tabor of Udon Thani, Thailand, Frank Tabor and his wife Rita of El Prado, New Mexico and George Tabor of Jaffrey; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her brother Richard Michaud of Phillipston, MA; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by seven brothers and five sisters.

Family and friends are warmly invited to call at the Cournoyer Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 33 River Street, Jaffrey on Thursday, August 25, 2011 from 7:00 until 9:00PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00AM at St. Patrick Church, 89 Main Street, Jaffrey. Rev John Tabor will be the celebrant, assisted by Rev Wilfred H. Deschamps, Pastor of St. Patrick Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
